Happy People — Look at all the Happy People

When I was a kid, my dad would take my family to Disneyland. His favorite thing to do was yell out, “Happy people! Look at all the happy people!”

To us, it was mainly embarrassing because he would yell it at the top of his lungs. The funny thing is, people would look and smile if they weren’t already, and if they were — it’s Disneyland and all — they would start smiling bigger.

That’s something I’ll always remember from my childhood, because what’s the point of it all if you’re not happy?

So here I am rolling through the Scandinavian countries on a personal mission to find out why these people are the happiest in the world. I think it will be interesting to see what parallels I can draw — both good and bad — to my life and the lives of others back home in the States.

I hope that through this journey I can learn a little more about bringing positive vibes to the people I interact with, just like my dad used to do at Disneyland.
