  • Feelings are NOT Facts
  • Opinions are only valid if they are supported by facts (read: backed by multiple, reputable sources and hard numbers with repeatable outcomes)
  • Discourse on any socio-political subject should NOT include the words “YOU” or “I”. The moment the argument is personalized is the moment the argument is lost.
  • Sarcasm and mocking are NEVER valid responses to a disagreement.
  • If you make a statement in a public forum (like the internet) be expected to defend it and respond to those who disagree with respect (see above).

Remember, in a heavily divided society, EMPATHY, above all, is essential for survival.
