A website I go to a lot is Reddit. I like this website because you have a lot of information at your fingertips and can discover new things everyday, while also getting to interact with people online who like similar stuff to you.

This website particularly uses an specific voice as its platform not used by many other websites on the internet. Its layout may be at first very intimidating and hard to understand, but after enough exposer to the site, its layout plays into its information driven services. This site is divided into subreddit’s which are basically thousands of individual fan made sites with the goal in mind of housing information relevant to their topic.

Thumbnail graphics are used on every post, as well as a title made by the submitter, to draw someone in who might be looking to click on this link. This centralized idea of agency of a user and the clicktivism of everyone on the site makes the content of reddit catered to individual preferences. This trend of individualized content can be found on a lot of the popular websites now as it plays into the idea of a deeper exploration of subject matters.

The layout structure of this website are constant throughout, with a main thread taking the user to a certain page or image and then having a detailed comment section, all fueled by upvotes and downvotes. The Upvote downvote system plays into the user controlled content that site stresses and allows the voices of people on the site to be able to control what is seen on the websites front page.
