“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.”

As the sunset on this past year, I got to reminisce on all the wonderful and not so wonderful things that 2017 brought me. The beginning of the year I made the decision to go on a mission trip with Calvary Fellowship with one of my best friends which brought so many amazing people into my life and experiences which I will remember forever. The first few months were full of senior responsibilities, school dances, youth events, winter retreats, and I started to cut gluten out of my life. Because I decided to do this, my health got better but life got a bit harder. It has been a journey of learning what my body needs versus what I want, which has been an amazing challenge. At the end of the school year it’s always difficult to push through but even more difficult when your friends lives are full of loss and trials. This past year I have learned more about my friends through being there for them and brought us closer together for the better. At the end of senior year, came a crazy whirl wind of events end of the year performances, graduation, crap ton of senior events, weekend getaways, and fundraising for the mission trip was in full swing. Graduating high school with my best friends was phenomenal and it was just perfect. Once summer started I pulled all my time and focus into preparing for this month long mission trip to Europe. Almost every weekend I was either at swing dancing practice or a church event. It was a great time of craziness. Even though I was busy, of course I still had time for camping trips, movies in the park, youth camps, and going on adventures with friends. My August of 2017 was definitely my highlight, I made some amazing close friends, got closer to old ones, and was able to share my love for JESUS through my favorite thing, dance. Getting back from that trip was hard because after came school, work, and plenty of new responsibilities. But the past four months I found a wonderful new job which I can bless a family in my church, help out with a youth group at Calvary, and spend lots of time with my family. The biggest blessings of 2017 has to be my friends and family pushing me to do new things and my relationships with everyone at Calvary Fellowship bible.com/59/isa.43.19.esv
