When faced with the choice between experiencing something reliable that you’ve already experienced and something new you’ve never experienced before, always opt for the new experience. Really, why do something you’ve already done when you have the opportunity to try something new? Life is simply too short to live so safely. After my good and wise friend Cary first put this notion to words so eloquently, I’ve boasted the life philosophy of "no repeats." If someone proposes doing something you’ve already tried and don’t particularly crave to do again, invoke "no repeats" and inspire others to go the other way. It’s hard for others to argue with "no repeats." While we may all fancy ourselves as creatures of comfort, deep down were really curious explorers in desperate need of the new and exciting. Embrace "no repeats" and live life accordingly.
