This is one of the reasons that I left my corporate life behind too (although there is a long list of reasons). I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life sitting in a conference room looking out the window and dreaming of being outside.

Now I can just grab my laptop and phone, hit the road, and work wherever I want.

People sometimes say, “You’re still working a lot.”

  • Yes, but it’s not the 12 hour days I used to work.
  • Yes, but I’m choosing what I work on, who I work with, when I work, where I work, and how I work. It’s empowering and liberating.
  • Yes, I work a lot, but it’s not in a stuffy conference room under fluorescent lights. It’s sitting on a deck, sipping a cold drink, and looking at this.
