A very clear tutorial and just what I was looking for :D. Here are a couple of snags I ran into that might help others. If you copy-paste the shader code be aware that the quotes and the minus signs may paste as characters Unity will not recognize — just go back and replace them with the standard characters. My camera was initialized in orthographic mode, which caused the sphere to seem like a far away pebble even when the camera was inside it :P. Switching to perspective fixed that. Thanks again!
