This is the problem of basing a movie off artwork that already exists. One can’t expect the film makers change everything and turn it into something it’s not. There are plenty of comic books and graphic novels that have characters that are LGBT+ but Hollywood won’t produce them.
Also, James Bond is a character based on a fantastical ideal of England from a particular part of history. It’s never going to address issues of fluid sexuality. Changing someone’s art is disrespectful to the artist.
These arbitrary expectations should be taken elsewhere.
