We’re excited to announce that COTI’s Mainnet 2.0 will go live on November 2nd, 2021 at 2 pm UTC.
COTI’s Trustchain is the base infrastructure of our systems and products. The Trustchain lies on a multi-DAG (directed acyclic graph) data structure, which works in tandem to drive up scalability while processing over 100,000 transactions per second (TPS).
Our infrastructure, which is built on DAG, has been live on Mainnet since June 2019 and has processed millions of transactions globally since then.
We have been working on COTI’s Mainnet 2.0 for over a year, investing thousands of human hours to allow new scalability and speed capabilities as well as to optimize COTI’s platforms to support its massive growth.
COTI’s Mainnet 2.0 is taking its performance to the next step, starting with basics such as database performance enhancements up to faster transaction confirmations.
Here is what Mainnet 2.0 includes:
RocksDB is the storage engine for the coti-node and in the latest release it is enhanced with the latest features such as a faster loading time and backup capabilities such as On-Demand backup.
Next is in the Queues, the coti-node queue management for all around the software is enhanced with better locks and takes to make events flow seamlessly, allowing faster transactions without having to drop any.
From within the coti-node enhanced queue operations we enhanced the outside communications that are being utilized by zero-mq and STOMP. This allows us to constantly send a rate of messages which helps us stabilize the communication to wallet and bridge.
In addition, explorer.coti.io improved stability by controlling the rate of transaction response size back from coti full-nodes.
Topping all of that with monitoring. With this latest release, coti-node supports the out-of-the-box standard metrics scrapers (same supported by prometheus), allowing node owners to monitor the application’s health and KPI.

Mainnet 2.0’s release will allow COTI’s network to grow further, supporting a wide range of financial technologies and use cases for enterprise and merchants, as well as for COTI users. This includes: the COTI Treasury, the stable coin factory, enterprise and merchant services, the Treasury services, ecosystem and partnerships and Trustchain and network backbone.
Preparations
COTI’s node operators have been already successfully moved to the new version on Testnet to ensure a smooth transition.
