Hello World!

I’m about 30 years old now,
nothing in my life is really together at the moment. In 2017, hardly a year from the time I’m writing this, I met the love of my life and things started to change for the better. Just a week ago, I decided to pursue the idea of becoming a full-stack web developer; a task that I used to believe was impossible.
In the short time since I’ve started my journey I’ve asked myself:
Why am I pursuing this now? What changed from before?
Without any deep reflection, I was able to give myself an answer. I wanted to improve my life and what I thought was impossible didn’t seem that way anymore.
That was the easy answer. I can’t say that I love Web Development, love takes time. I can see myself falling in love with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and all the other tools needed to succeed, but I won’t know for sure until I really start to invest time into it. I know I like to create things. I know that when I give input, I usually like the output to be beautiful and inspiring. My years of photography experience is good evidence of that fact. My photography is also proof that I can improve and I can pursue difficult tasks I thought were impossible.
Taking action immediately, I signed up for various free programs online. Codeacadamey, SoloLearn, and my current favorite The Odin Project. It feels good to be able to jump right in and get hands-on education for free! The opportunity to work on the courses at my own pace is surprisingly rewarding. I’m able to take information in and digest it how I see fit.
I believe this is the origin of a major shift in my life. If I stay focused and driven I’m going to make it as a full-stack developer or maybe even something beyond that. I’ve decided to start this blog to help keep myself motivated and share my thoughts, experiences, and inspiration with everyone who has interest.
Here’s to the future!
