Hello, I’m a UX/UI Designer looking for mentorship. After working with a career counselor, I decided to take a chance and switch careers from a professional tutor to a UX designer. I took the UX/UI Design Apprenticeship at Bloc, thinking it would get me industry ready. I quickly realized upon graduating my program that I was missing essential skills with design thinking and graphic design. I studied intensively on my own for 4 months and started freelancing, but I still feel even though I am getting a little bit of work that I want more mentorship. I want to become the best UX designer I can be, and I know I am not getting the design thinking and best practices that I need being on my own. I would love to have some insight from a professional on what I need to do get into the UX design field.
