We get stuck. But it’s a lie — it’s not our nature. Our nature is expanding every second. Every failure is a new insight. Every breath is more proof in the universe that we can trust the present moment. Every darkness lets us see the way to forge ahead.
But sometimes, we’re just stuck. Immovable. Anchored. Handcuffed to our anxieties and tied to our old stories.
What if we could just release them all? What if we could just let them go? Let them float away? Let them dissipate?
I could talk for hours about how to theoretically let it all go, but what if we could manifest immediate change by changing our bodies? If our bodies are a reflection of our inner work, shouldn’t it stand to reason that the inner work is impressed upon by the body?
Pull back our little wings and absorb the energy that is right in front of us.
Let the tension drip down the edges of our shoulders, right off our fingertips.
Turn up the corners of our mouths.
Suggest something with our gaze.
Take a breath instead of lurching forward into speech.
Take slower, deeper breaths that hurt just a little bit.
Sip in more air and let the heaviness out when it has to and not before.
Feel our lungs expand and collapse and recognize how much we take that for granted.
Feel lifted by the sturdiness beneath our feet.
Feel free and worthy to just take it slow,
forward and forward and forward.
Sometimes words just muddy us all up. Putting the intention in our bodies manifests all kinds of energy in our minds. We become people who sit straight, smile, stay present and slow down. All from recognizing that expanding is wired into our DNA.
