I hope I didn’t leave you feeling that fatalistic about it! I think there are a lot of wonderful, reciprocal ways to think about traveling, learning, working, as evidenced by Global Citizen Year and Thinking Beyond Borders. It requires a real investment in relationships and some time, but it’s totally possible.
