How to leap from scientist to snakecharmer

Inspired by Mike Monteiro & Elizabeth Gilbert.

Step 1. Do the work.

Step 2. Present it well.

Step 3. Repeat steps 1 & 2.

When you do your work, do it like a scientist. Be methodical. Be deliberate. And be flexible enough to make changes to your hypothesis. After you’ve done the work, present it well like a snakecharmer. This is a difficult part indeed. A good book on public speaking is here.

Now how do we make the leap from scientist to snakecharmer?

One idea is to minimize negative feedback from our lizard brain. This involves working through thrashing (early), getting over the fear hump and shipping our work, despite the anticipated (-) feedback. It means to face our fear of failure and continue doing our work consistently.
