In a conversation with a group of bootstrappers we came up with the concept of B2P: business to professional. Software products that target this market sits at the intersection of B2C and B2B:

Business-to-professional (B2P) software is the equivalent of BOYD (bring your own device). It’s still business software but with individual utility, and given the focus on making the individual professional successfull, it is positioned and sold to individuals. It also ditches freemium, in favour of short trials that deliver the value proposition right away.

There are lots of examples out there and is particularly suited to bootstrapped companies.
