We’re living in a time where creating toys and collectible merchandise aren’t only confined to major AAA publishers like Activision or Disney. We’ve seen an explosion of major indie games that are including merch in their sales strategy.

But a common misconception about merchandise still is that you need to store shirts and mugs in your basement. Dropshipping and on-demand printing services allow you to create products when they’re ordered, offering a seamless experience for both the game developer and the player.

There are a number of services that can help you save time and money as you create and sell your own merch, ranging from:

  • T-shirts
  • Plushies
  • Custom figurines
  • Hats
  • Socks
  • And more.

In the video below, we’ll go through the entire process of creating a piece of merchandise for your game.

I’ll be starting a store from scratch so I can show you just how easy it is to get up and running. We’ll go through the process of creating a Shopify account, setting up an on-demand printing provider, and creating a t-shirt for our game The Pickle Pals.

So, follow along and by the end of this short video you too will have a beautifully designed t-shirt branded with your game assets, ready to sell to players and fans.
