The Daily Dose of Dirt
“Moonsday” has dawned with a surge of energy vibrating from the dark side of the moon. September’s New Moon totally disappeared, yesterday evening, in the peaceful sign of Libra. If you take a moment to think about it, September has been a month of changing energy. The Fall Equinox, marking the halfway point of the astrological year, recently occurred to shift our individual expression and turn attention to relationship, as well as, making plans to prepare for winter. Indeed, we are truly embarking on a season of change and new beginnings. Nevertheless, with all this shifting and flowing energy of September, it may take some time to adjust. This is why I spend time digging in the dirt, sitting on the ledge of the moon, and studying the cosmic sign-posts blinking in the milky way.
The energy vibrating during this current Libra Lunation is potent. We have made it to the crossroads with the divine opportunity to make valuable changes in our lives and along the path we follow. This new lunar cycle restores fresh and creative energy into our lives. It is a cycle in which establishing a sense of order and balancing intimate relationships takes priority. No doubt, be mindful, peace and harmony are the focus, but a delicate balancing act should be incorporated along the way that will require some commitment and effort. We might even consider narrowing our focus as we seek to grow, improve and develop our attachments. Recognizing the value of patience, stillness, and listening to the whispers of the universe could open the door to gain fresh insight into our purpose driven life and help us reconnect with what we most love and cherish.
“Moonsday” has dawned. Naturally, Mondays are not meant to be focused on “balls-to-the-wall” change, projects, nor forging ahead. The day was named after the moon, and as such, it is a dreamy, introspective kind of day. Sure, a season of change is unfolding like a “never-ending-story,” barreling like a “freight train,” and toppling-over like a “jinga.” Quick, go find your pause button! Yes, I do recommend we hit the “pause” button this morning. Even today’s tarot card, the Ace of Wands, that just flipped-over is flashing a “slow-down” signpost. “Aces” in tarot are gifts, first causes, roots. They represent the primary impulse that evolves throughout a particular suit. The Ace of Wands is the beginning of fire-spirit, intuition, and spiritual energy. Take a look for yourself. Visually, this card piques our curiosity as patches of fresh blossoms and leaves sprout from the wand portrayed in the center of the card. New Beginnings. Season of Change. The sprouting foliage represents the bursting of life and its untapped potential. A rebirth of the spirit is taking place within the Ace of Wands. The energy is expansive and inviting. It opens our hearts to our lifesong, our divine purpose. It is a brilliant flash of inspiration that might lead us anywhere.
Press the pause button…if only for today. We are standing on the brink of change, the dark side of the moon. We are right where we need to be, ready and able to blaze a new trail. The only way to discover where we will go from this point forward is to keep following our path at our own unique pace. The arrival of Autumn accompanied by a New Moon in Libra paves the way, but the thought to ponder on this “Moonsday” is…. “What ignites your passion? What compels you forward?” New beginnings are not always easy. Change is difficult to navigate. No matter, there is a special momentum that can only be unleashed when you move in the direction that inspires you the most. You are magic in motion!
