“People say, ‘When I’m 70.’ And I think, ‘Man, I’d love to be 70! I hope I make it that far.’ But I’m not going to plan my life around one day turning 70. You’ve got to do this shit now. You don’t get that long here. One day, you’re going to wake up and be 50. And you’ll be like, ‘Shit! What about all that stuff I was supposed to do?’ I think we procrastinate joy. ‘I’d love to do that one day. But I’ve got all this stuff going on.’ Then you look back on it, and you’ve filled your life up with all this bullshit, things you don’t really want to do. You’re on this trajectory, where you’re always supposed to do the responsible thing all the time. We don’t design our lives around joy. I got good at not letting myself make excuses. I’m trying to squeeze out those little moments.”

Denver Must: There’s a perfect little ice climbing crag at Rocky Mountain National Park called Jewel Lake Slab.
