Thank you for writing this. It took a great amount of courage. Your writing alone will reach so many people because you are an excellent writer.ZZZZZ

I am 70 years old (well in 14 days). I have suffered from depression for a long as I can remember. At one point I took my son’s paper route to earn money.

But it was a morning route and in winter it was pitch black. About the 4th day, I came home and collapsed on the landing for the steps to go upstairs. I cried and cried. A grown man crying uncontrollably.

I went to the doctor. At that time all I could afford was Ellivel (no insurance). Horrible side effects: dry mouth, ringing in the ears. But after months of suffering, I started feeling better. After 20+ years of Prozac, I am now on Mirtazapine. It makes such a difference.

If it would only help the effects of Agent Orange (dioxin). I am afflicted with heart trouble, cellulitis, and several other disasters all waiting their turn to crank up the PTSD.

Oh well.
