Absolutely right. On-premise monolithic ERP systems are being replaced by subscription services, in chunks, at an accelerating pace. The SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, DRaaS economy may be good for subscribers, but it is also VERY good for service providers, who are more efficient at monetizing services and extracting cash from their subscribers than ever. Even Oracle knows that their survival depends on bludgeoning their EBS customers into a subscription model if they can.
