Many fans before me
waited oh so long
Watching every Cubs at bat
and singing every song.
Hoping to be Champions
& claim that glorious crown
With pictures dancing in our head
of Harry’s “Holy Cow”
We never stopped believing
no matter what we’d seen
Because we love the game so much
but especially this team
But then 2016 happened
and we were struck with awe
The dream had finally come true
the Cubs had won it all
So now we enter new frontier
the draught would finally end
So what comes next is easy Cubs fans-
Let’s win it all again.
