TOP 7 MUST-HAVES FOR FALL/WINTER 2018
I’m actually sad to say this, but it’s starting to feel like Summer is really coming to an end! It’s been so easy to just throw on a simple top and bottom, and not worry about jackets, sweaters, and all the other cold-weather trimmings. But, it’s not all bad! We can definitely still have fun this coming season, and play around with various prints, textured coats, metallics, and sexy boots!
Here’s my take on the top 7 must-haves for Fall/Winter 2018!
Becoming more of a classic season after season, I think it’s safe to say the denim trend is here to stay! Proudly strut around in your Canadian tux this season, or better yet, upgrade your wardrobe with a new denim jacket or dress.
I love a good over-sized chester coat for women and I love it even more now that these coats come longer this season! Whether it’s printed or puffed, i’ll definitely be looking out for my perfect long winter coat this season!
Not new to the trend scene — as it hit the runways summer of ’17, but I still think it’s a fun one for this season. Metallic can definitely brighten up those dull, cold, winter days, so just have fun with this one! Blazers, skirts, pants, boots, anything goes!
I’m a firm believer that checks are for everyone. Print doesn’t always have to be loud like the examples shown here. If you are more of a minimalist, look for a monochromatic print and oversized print and you will still look trendy this season! As you all might know already, I’m all about loud colours and bold prints so for me, I’m excited to find a perfect, vibrant, check-print anything this season, so stay tuned! (IG: @creamcottons)
Brown, for fall? Groundbreaking. BUT for real though, it is!! Beautiful browns and earth tones are such a classic and I can’t wait to really dive into these tones this season. Brown is really for anyone with the right layering, so don’t shy away from this colour if you think it’s not meant for you. You can always try layering it with different colours underneath, the options are infinite.
For us Canadians, I think warmth is a key factor when shopping for your winter gear. Luckily with shearling you can still look stylish and chic, but also be incredibly warm!
A classic for every fall and I can’t wait to be stomping around in my new boots! I have the hardest time shopping for tall boots because I’m very particular about what I want in terms of toe point, heel height, boot height, so I find I am always shopping for boots any time of year. BUT, doesn’t have to be new boots! Be proud of what you have in your closet, give them a good polish, and strut around in your beautiful tall boots this season!
Boots, I find, can also elevate your look no matter how casual your outfit is! Simple blouse, jeans ? Throw on some boots and you’ll definitely get a few head turns!
