I’m Gonna F*ck it!

I am a UX/UI designer, adding to that, I also study biology at university — I know it’s pretty odd, right! — lots of clients and design agencies made a note of that.

I have learned a lot. But the thing that stood between me and enhancing my abilities was the twentieth century’s worst man’s enemy: STRESS

Last year I had several job and university submissions interviews. At the same time, exposés and researches in the biology domain were showering at me. I had to keep up, it was hard but I did it.

How I survived

I knew that excessive stress was no help, it just dragged me down, just like panic, it makes you drawn when swimming. Escaping your stress zone will boost your performances when you do more important stuff.

I survived doing two things:

1- Worry about your thing when the moment comes, not days before. Enjoy today like a newborn baby. But this doesn’t mean not to prepare for your things coming down the road.

2- “I’m gonna f*ck it!” before I walk to any interview, deep down I convince myself that I already lost the job. So I say my famous sentence “I’m gonna fuck it, let’s fuck it!” *with a happy face* and walk in the interview room freely like I got nothing to lose. But be careful, make sure that your interviewer doesn’t get the impression of you being not serious about the job offer or the university submission.

P.S: Body language also helps fading stress away, make sure to read this article; 9 Powerful Body Language Tips To Instantly Boost Your Confidence http://liveboldandbloom.com/10/self-confidence/body-language-tips

This is how I managed controlling my stress levels during important things in my life. How about you? I would love to hear your experience handing stress.

Best regards,
Bilal K.
