Starting small
If you have been following my social media platforms for a little while now, you know I am looking to learn more about what is exactly happening in education at the moment. What’s new, what we could do without and what on earth is happening with all these exams…

I truly believe everyone has an interest in education, like Sir Ken Robinson said once. We have all been there — at some point — for a significant period of time. We have been formally educated for a number of years and this is still, years later for some, influencing our lives in more ways than one. So, it is in all of our best interest that we take on a more active role in the way our children are being educated.
As I said in my previous blog I don’t believe it is necessarily all up to the school and the teachers. There’s plenty of research into parental involvement in education, too much to list all of the findings. But they agree on this: involvement of parents has positive effects on their children’s learning, development and social skills.
They say that if you want to change something big, you have to start small. This is why I decided to focus on what I can do — invest in my children’s education. It’s not all about the money —; our time, our knowledge and our talents can be used as investments into their future.
So how about you join me on this path? Let’s start a conversation about #InvestEDfuture
