Jeff Bezos, the man behind Amazon.com, a company that is becoming more and more instrumental in our daily lives. Amazon is quite literally eating up the world with Bezos’ relentless pursuit of putting customers first at all times and at all costs. But Bezos doesn’t stop there. As a long-time space-hobbyist, Bezos wants to go beyond Earth and champion on to outer space with his most recent audacious project — Blue Origin — working towards bringing millions of people to live and work in space.

Born on January 12, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to a teenage mother Jacklyn Gise Jorgensen, and his biological father, Ted Jorgensen. The Jorgensens were married less than a year, and by the time Bezos was 4 years old his mother had remarried to a Cuban immigrant, Mike Bezos.

Even from an early age, Bezos showed a keen interest in how things worked, turning his parents’ garage into a laboratory, rigging electrical contraptions around his house. Graduating valedictorian from his high school, Bezos continued to pursue his interest in electrical engineering and graduated summa cum laude in 1986 from Princeton University in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
