A Masterclass In Out-Thinking The Compeition

Predatory Thinking is written by a guy called Dave Trott. If you don’t know him, he’s famous for great ads. If he produces an advert, then people will probably buy into it. Brands like Toshiba and Ariston and Cadbury Flake can vouch for that.

To be honest, it’s a great book.

Written in short sentences.

And short stories that teach us about marketing, business, life and stuff.

One story per chapter.

Sounds funny but it works.

Apparently only 38% of the population finish a book in its entirety.

15% give up after the 100th page.

Maybe that’s because.

People have a shorter attention span these days.

When you pick up a book by Dave Trott, you finish the book.

I did, in a day.

Didn’t put it down much.

Not because I wanted to know how it ended: it’s not that kind of book.

It’s not a self-help guide or the Hunger games.

But because I enjoyed it.

People want to do things they enjoy.

I liked it. I learnt stuff. I told my friends about it.

You may not like the book.

Everyone talks about new things for a while.

But one thing hasn’t changed:

If people like stuff, they’ll tell other people about it.

If they don’t, they won’t.

There’s a message to be taken from that.
