The Creative Process

A short poem about what I do.

Envelopes, Paper, Stationary, Pens, Pencils, Brushes, Stickers

Scratch, Write, Erase

Pick up, Pause, Set down

Stroke, Pressure, Angle, Drop, Swipe, Slide, Wait

Begin, Learn, Create

Art.

This is a little “poem,” if it can be called that, that I wrote about the creative process. There are many more aspects not included, but I thought I would give you a sneak peek into some of the things I do.

You’ll also see a few pictures of some of the things I’ve been up to such as decorating envelopes for my grad announcements!

Also, one of my friends asked if I would draw a temporary tattoo on her with henna, so I acquiesced — only to find a whole line of people pop up with requests of their own! So, I spent a few hours doodling, copying, and free-styling with henna on various friends of mine, and it was quite the adventure!

P.S. I have a newfound respect for henna artists, because squeezing the tube really gives you a hand cramp after a while…

Included in this post: painting on envelopes, a poem about creating, and drawing with henna. :)
