“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
“Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:15–17
Isn’t there something just so special about praising God? I think so.
When I sit before the Lord and sing whatever comes to my head in praise to Him, I feel peace of mind knowing that He is being glorified. Even those brief moments of solitude with a guitar and the Bible open to Psalms can do wonders in aligning my heart with Jesus.
I am challenging myself today to not only praise God with my actions but with my mouth. I want to bring Him glory and honor through praise with an attitude of thanksgiving.
May we realize that no matter what struggles we are dealing with, God is still good, He is still bigger, He is still loving, and He will never leave us.
And with that, I invite you to listen to some of the songs I have written (please don’t mind the poor recording quality — I used my iPhone to capture the audio)…
Oh, and here is a set-list from worship that I lead last week. It’s my excuse for a photo because I’ve been so behind with this blog and project that I figured this would suffice. Thanks for your grace, everybody!
This post includes the photo, devo, and wild day from a couple weeks ago (sorry for being somewhat MIA — it’s been a crazy end of the semester).
