Congratulations on making your country look like a dirty pond.

Another sad time I am insinuated to “shut up” by a man

On Medium

I don’t think Minhaaj Rehman that you read between the lines. I don’t think Minhaaj Rehman that you read comments from other women from around the world with the same stories.

Why do you, being a man of this country, instead of running a campaign to change things, are telling me to “shut up” in many words? Why do you want to hush on this issue?

Minhaaj do you not think it is the men with raping eyes that are making our country look like a dirty pond?

.

Minhaaj do you not think that with this level of acceptance of mixed cultures tourism can never come around in Pakistan?

.

Minhaaj today after reading my article you still chose to blame me. How does that make our country look like? Better? The same? Oh no. Only worse!

With your comment it only has become more visible what men in my country are like. You will always choose to hush me quiet because it is easier to threaten a woman.

Is this the best you can do?

Minhaaj, you do know how many Pakistani news media out there are printing online and offline, news of women being murdered and raped and burnt on kerosene?

Minhaaj, you do know all these news channels online and locally are playing videos of the true faces of our politicians? Do you not think that makes our country look like a dirty pond?

Or is it just women who have this disgraceful ability?

Minhaaj, could you call up all these news channels and ask them that because reality makes our country look like a dirty pond, they should stop bringing it to the people?

Minhaaj, you hinted today that instead of pondering on reality and as a man trying to change what is in your hands, reality should be buried in a six feet deep grave, ignored, never brought to the surface.

I don’t care what my country looks like, I care what it is.

Of course Minhaaj, what the opposite sex is going through you can never empathize with, with the thoughts that you have. Let me make this clear, this article is not for you to understand, or anyone to understand, it is for myself. It is a release.

PS. I hope Minhaaj, that instead of replying with more oppression, you will only understand my last lines and scroll down to other stories. That would mean much respect.
