Four Weeks In

Good morning and Happy Monday! Today marks the first 4 weeks to better health, now back to your regularly scheduled programming of McDonalds and Beer.

Well, maybe not that extreme but I have definitely wavered a bit these last two weeks. Mostly in part due to a very hectic work and family life. I have been working 10–12 hour days to meet a deadline that is fast approaching. After the end of the month my schedule will be slowing down to a more manageable pace, or at least it looks that way.

Back to the health stuff, as of this morning I weighed in at 197.5 lbs. That is down 21 lbs from where I started on the 1st of August. I can now do 10 pull ups and chin ups whereas before it was 3 or 4. In the month of August I have run just over 40 miles! (relatively pain free as well)

Not Much To See Here, Move Along

For me, even in the last two weeks of chaos, there has been a shift and now I weigh the options and the value of what I eat. I have to evaluate if it is worth it to drink a beer or to eat some garbage. I have made some poor decisions and regretted them almost immediately, sometimes a day or two later when my body informed me that it was not happy with my choices.

Here’s to the little victories and an improved lifestyle. Blessings to you and have a great week.
