I agree about it sounding a bit ‘bum-like’.

I also think that the ‘digital’ part makes it sound like we’re all coders or something. It’s a bit like the ‘D’ in ‘DSLR’ — it was once a useful descriptor, but now all cameras are digital, so it’s become redundant. Surely having a laptop for work is pretty ubiquitous these days, even if you’re a stonemason (for example)

Along the lines of John Ord’s suggestion, how about something like ‘worker of the world’, or just ‘World Worker’? (‘travailleur du monde’, if you want to sound fancy…)
