Trickle-down workaholism in startups

Absolutely love this piece! If some are taken aback, as read in some comments, it only proves the point that this all-hustle-no-rest insanity is deeply ingrained in today’s glamourous startup culture, as depicted in movies or hit shows like Silicon Valley. Somehow they want everybody to buy the hype that if you’re not playing by that rule, then you’re not successful or crushing it. There are countless cases that prove this BS is not only unnecessary to be successful (i.e. Slack, Basecamp), but can become counterproductive (i.e. sunk costs, burnout). DHH always brings the counter perspective to the startup grind and hence his take will always be fresh and relevant.
