First Official Game Of The Season

Tomorrow marks the official day of soccer season starting but also my first game of the season! I am literally so excited to be able to play with the girls on my team. Everyone is so supportive. Me being the new girl, (because I was advanced to a higher division) I felt right at home at the very first practice.

We are the Vipers and since their is no other U16 team that exists in Florida, we have to compete against 19yr olds and older (U19). I am the oldest on my team and the most skilled so I was bumped up to captain by the second practice. I’ve already made an awesome best friend named Megan and we partner up for everything to shooting goals, passing, and dribbling.

Somebody asked me if the practices were easy. To answer your question, no, they are not. Our coach, Steve, pushes us to our ultimate limits. No joke. There are some girls who have left practices crawling and having to be carried. The thought does run through my mind sometimes “I don’t know if I can do this anymore, I AM going to faint.” Our team has four coaches, I only know two because I don’t get coached by the other two. I have Coach Steve and Coach Collins.

I haven’t been benched yet and i’m hoping it stays that way. You might be thinking, “but wait, isn’t your first game tomorrow? How can you have been benched already?” My answer, scrimmages.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
