1. Organizations are making progress. They are experiencing more success with implementing strategic initiatives . When PMI found that organizations that excel in project management, they indeed capturing business value. Because of this, they complete about more than half of their project successfully and they can waste 13 times less money than low-performing counterparts. Because of their rigorous approach to project, program and portfolio management they can improves their ability to execute strategy and creates a competitive advantage. But the others are not enough. So in order to improve, organizations must make some major cultural changes. They need make sure that everyone understand the value of project management, require that executive sponsors are fully engaged on projects and programs and align their projects to the organizations strategy. We counseled organizations to strengthen the conversation on the benefits of project management and its value as a strategic competency that can reduce risk, cut costs and improve success rates. Throughout the year, we focused on benefits realization: how to gain, deliver and sustain the value that projects deliver. So if you focused only in one project you didn’t recognize the other problems of a project. You must considered that you should look all the possible project that needed of this.

4. a.What do you think the real problem was in this case?

- I think the real problem of this case was that Nick can accept many position that offer to his manager or CEO so that can’t focused in managing of all aspect of the project.

b. Does the case present a realistic scenario? Why or why not?

- Yes, because as of now, many of the employee’s can also feel this kind of situation. The manager or CEO can assign many project that’s not related to the skills or position of the one person, so the person should accept because it is a work.

c. Was Nick Carson a good project manager? Why or why not?

-No, Because he did not focused on managing their project.

d. What should top management have done to help Nick?

-The top management should assign in the only one position so that Nick can focused in one working area.

e. What could Nick have done to be a better project manager?

- Nick was very Highly energetic and intelligent person, so that , he can do what he wants but make sure that it is related to the role that he have. He can make an interesting project because of his skills and ability.
