How Cronic Care protects your privacy
At Cronic Care, we are committed to safeguarding your privacy. The following Privacy Principles govern all decisions related to the development and operation of our services:
- Control Over Personal Data: You retain sole ownership and control over when and how your personal data is collected and shared. Cronic Care collects and disseminates personal health data only with your informed consent, employing privacy-by-design practices to minimize data collection and notify you via the App of your data-sharing choices.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You have the right to change your mind at any time, including the ability to delete recordings or terminate your account without penalty.
- Prohibition on Data Sales: Cronic Care unequivocally does not sell personal data. Our business model is not predicated on the sale of identifiable personal information, and we remain fully committed to this principle.

- Commitment to Data Security: We adhere to stringent data security protocols and apply HIPAA security standards to all health data we collect, ensuring that the protection of your data is never compromised.
By utilizing our services, you acknowledge and agree to these principles, which are designed to ensure that your privacy is maintained in full compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Privacy Policy
Cronic Care was established to provide individuals with structured documentation of their health conversations. Cronic Care delivers its services through the Cronic Care Service. This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about how Cronic Care operates, including the nature of the data you provide, the data we collect, how such data is used to deliver our Services, and the circumstances under which it may be shared.
What Personal Data Does Cronic Care Collect About Me?
Account Information.
We may collect contact details, including your phone number, email address, physical address, or single sign-on credentials, for the purpose of establishing and granting you access to your account.
Health Information.
When you record a health conversation through our Services, we collect the audio recording and convert it into a textual transcript, which is then stored. This transcript is used to generate a personalized recording summary for you or your healthcare provider, which may incorporate the original recording.
Conversations.
You have the ability to initiate a recording of any health conversation via our Services. Such recordings are immediately accessible upon logging into your account. You may, at your discretion, share these recordings with another Cronic Care user.
Activity.
Interactions with your recordings within the Services — such as adding a title, specifying the name of the clinician or patient involved, using suggested tags, editing medical terms for accuracy, or marking specific moments for easy retrieval — are recorded and stored in association with your account.
Contacts.
For certain functionalities, you may opt to share a recording and its summary with another Cronic Care user by manually entering the recipient’s phone number or by granting us access to your phone’s contacts, thereby enabling recipient selection. Should the recipient not currently be a Cronic Care user, we will send an invitation via text message to join Cronic Care. While we do not store your Contacts per se, we require access for the purpose of recipient selection. This access can be revoked at any time via your phone’s settings. When you share a recording, we store the recipient’s phone number and any accompanying message in association with your account. You may cease sharing a recording with any Contact at any time through the Cronic Care App.
Location.
For certain features — such as locating nearby healthcare professionals — you may choose to share your geographical location. We will obtain your explicit consent and provide notification prior to the collection of such data.
Analytics and Passively Collected Data.
We collect data regarding your use of the Cronic Care Services through the use of pixel tags and cookies. This data may include, but is not limited to, your IP address, mobile device identifier, click or tap history, operating system or browser type, and other interactions with our web and mobile applications. Such information is collected passively from your device and is used to enhance your experience with our Services.
Feedback and Support.
We welcome your feedback and support inquiries. Any emails or messages sent to us for the purpose of providing feedback or seeking assistance are stored and used to help us prioritize product improvements and enhance our Services.
De-identified Data.
De-identified Data refers to information that has been aggregated or modified so as not to identify any individual. We utilize de-identified data for research and development purposes, to refine our algorithms and machine learning models, and to improve the Services we offer. Such de-identified data may be disclosed publicly or to third parties, including in public health reports, shared with partners under confidentiality agreements, or used in benchmarking information provided to the medical community.

We may disclose the information we collect from you in order to comply with applicable laws, judicial proceedings, court orders, or other legal processes, including in response to a subpoena.
Our policy is to notify you of legal process seeking access to your information, such as search warrants, court orders, or subpoenas, unless prohibited by law. In instances where a court order specifies a non-disclosure period, we will provide delayed notice after the expiration of such period, except in exigent or counterproductive circumstances (e.g., emergencies involving imminent danger of death or serious injury).
To Protect Cronic Care and Others:
We may disclose information that we collect from you if we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, potential threats to safety, violations of our Terms of Use or this Policy, or as evidence in litigation in which Cronic Care is involved.
Business Transfers:
In the event that Cronic Care is acquired by or merged with another company, if substantially all of our assets are transferred to another entity, or as part of bankruptcy proceedings or reorganization, we will notify affected users prior to transferring any personal data to the new entity.
