What is ‘The Forest’?
The Forest is our brand new product for sharing project revenue with CRO CROW holders. The concept is pretty simple: Any $CRO sent to The Forest is automatically distributed to stakers based on their ‘Forest Score’.
Forest Score
Your Forest Score will determine how much you earn whenever The Forest receives any $CRO. The formula is pretty simple:
Reward = AmountReceived * (StakerScore / GlobalScore)
Example:
The Forest receives 100 CRO, the Global Score is 1000 and your Staker Score is 500, so you own 50% of The Forest. You receive 50 CRO.
The score for each staker is determined by the following formula:
StakerScore = (CrowsStaked * 1000) + Boost
Example:
You stake 10 CRO CROWs, and your Boost percentage is at 15%:
(10*1000) + 1500 = 11500 Score
Boosters
The Forest allows certain NFTs to be used as boosters, increasing stakers scores by a flat percentage.
Each account has 5 slots that can be used with any combination of boosters. The following NFTs will be able to be used as boosters:
This gives our side collections some utility, and the best part is that the contract is flexible and we can add / remove / adjust any other NFTs as boosters, giving our project the possibility to partner up and give some utilities to other Cronos NFT projects in the future!
At launch, the best possible boost will be [+25%], acquired by filling up the 5 booster slots with MAD CROWs!
Royalties!
The Forest will be replacing our old royalty system, which had some issues such as dead accounts accumulating CRO that would never be claimed and could be instead going towards active members.
Forest stakers will be earning a 5% Royalty from all our collections!
Additionally, any revenue we share from future mints such as the upcoming Nest NFTs will be sent directly into The Forest.

We finally have an official release date:
The Forest will officially launch on the 15th October, at 05:00 PM UTC.
We’re also currently running a private version only available to verified holders on Discord at the #crow-zone, aimed to find any bugs and improvements before launching the final version. If you want to participate, make sure to join our Discord and get your holder roles!
Why $TWIG was not released with The Forest
We want our project to be sustainable in the long term. Releasing a token as an NFT project can be great fun, but it can also create problems:
- Holders dumping onto each other
- Dilution (Should I invest on the Token or buy another CROW?)
- Tokenomics not really sustainable on the long term
- NFTs worth getting tied to the tokens price (Main utility of getting a CROW becomes earning the token, but what if the token price crashes…)
We recognized this and decided to simply go with $CRO, while fixing our old royalty system and creating a new one that will benefit our active members more!
It is also worth noting that $TWIG might come later, but it will never become a key component of the CRO CROW ecosystem, but rather a fun meme token.
