Fair enough. This must be an American thing. I live in NY now, but grew up in East and South Africa, with a lot of time in Johannesburg and Harare, and then I did a fellowship in Beijing, so in comparison grocery stores in New York — in all of America, really — are so peaceful and well-stocked.
