Investors interested in earning some money to help their favourite stake proof cryptocurrencies will be relieved to know that getting started is pretty easy. To earn money, you don’t need any special hardware or mining software, and learning to do is usually very easy.

  1. Identify the currency you’d like to stake

The first step, of course, is to find a coin you would like to stake. Sometimes it can be difficult to find lists of assets that allow staking, but there are many sites that provide statistics about masternodes. These projects also enable staking without owning a node in many cases. To get started, you can use this information and even get an idea of what kind of return you can expect.

2. Acquire a sufficient number of coins

While you can start staking with any number of coins, if you don’t have a high enough wallet weight, it might take you a very long time to mint anything in most cases. Usually, if you look around in the social media channels of the project, somebody will talk about their average return, but if you don’t, you can get a good idea of how many of them you’ll need using the explorer. Many projects have a public wallet explorer, and you will soon be able to see the average stakes people are getting based on their balance if you click on enough addresses here.

3. Download the official wallet

You will need to submit them to the official wallet of the project after buying your coins from an exchange. Typically this is the only one you can earn anything. It will not be possible for third-party providers like Jaxx or Coinomi to provide you with any stakes.

4. Encrypt your wallet

Create a strong password and make sure you remember it. You won’t be able to regain access to your funds if you lose this. You might want to write this down and keep it somewhere safe on a sheet of paper.

5. Open your wallet to stack

For staking, most wallets would demand that you unlock it. This is typically found in the settings menu, and your balance will continue to mint new assets after entering your password.

Keep in mind that most currencies have a waiting period to start earning rewards before you can become registered. This varies greatly from project to project, and it might be a few hours, but it might also be a week. You will need to check for your investment-specific documents to be sure of this.

To earn rewards, you will also need to keep the programme running. In some instances, you may still be able to open it only occasionally, but the best option is usually to run it all the time.
