First DAO Poker dapp on Byteball — dPoker & dChips

I would like to introduce our project on first ever truely DAO online Poker dapp (dPoker.io) based on the principles of Byteball and Dash. Build by the players for the players. Now its possible to play online cash tables, anonymously & peer to peer with the help of Smart contracts ensuring fair payout eliminating the risk of people defaulting payments. Anyone can create an online poker room/club and invite friends to play and control rakes, which in this case now should ideally be zero because players dont need any third party (like Pokerstars.com or their local counterparts in different countries) to ensure payments using dChips (Every issued dChip is backed by equivilent amount of Bytes , Bitcoin or DASH as a colateral, in future more privacy coins would be integrated to be used as collateral). Moreover, eventhough the identity of the players would not be disclosed but his public reputation would be build using our internal rating system and people with higher rating can use it to get Margins to play on cash tables. Better your rating is, more margin you can get from someone in the community or from some club owner. So you dont want to to spoil your poker reputation because people with bad reputation could not be allowed to enter exclusive Poker rooms/clubs or would be banned from exclusive club. Your Hand history would always be stored on decentralized database cryptographically and can be accessed only by you, as you own your own data. Your dChips would be locked only till you are on the table, as soon as you leave the table, dChips are released from the smart payment and distributed to the players. Rakes can also be customised and can be distributed among more than one party/player. So Players can decide to have some rakes instead of having zero rake and then these rakes can be distributed among the players in certain predetermined ratio.

In short — We want to solve the biggest problem in online poker industry — which is ensuring trust among geographically dispersed people to play together on online poker cash tables without the risk of someone defaulting a payment and without the need of any third party to act as an ensurer to winners that they will get their winnings and in return taking huge percentage as rakes.

We know that there are many player out their who claim to do the same, but they have either chosen the wrong platform (like ethereum with approx 15 tps and high transaction fee) or are centralised which is no better than pokerstar.com itself.

After a lot of effort and research we have chosen Byteball, as it is based on tangle and can support hundreds of thousand tps and would become faster as it expands. So Byteball is scalable with super low transaction fee. Apart from technology we are going to adopt the governance structure inspired by DASH’s DAO governance structure so that it can act as an organisation that cannot be shut down by any government.
