Cryptobots Classic 2017 Collection Is Now Limited and has Renounced Contract Ownership

In the last few weeks, we have received multiple comments from the holders of the Classic 2017 Cryptobots collection. Based on this feedback, we decided to make the collection limited only to 10,000 Cryptobots and to renounce the contract ownership and control to preserve the historic value of one of the earliest NFT projects.

Another important reason for making the collection limited and having no control over the contract is the trust — we want to show the community that even in theory, it will be impossible for anyone to inflate the collection and manipulate its value.

Following steps regarding the Classic Collection:

1. Upload the bot images using the on-chain or IFPS method.
2. Assign contract ownership and management roles to the address of Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin (because we can’t assign these roles to null).
3. Rename the 2017 collection to Classic Cryptobots and make it different from the new upcoming playable Cryptobots Genesis collection.
4. Make the Classic 2017 collection exchangeable for the new playable Bots. (Please note that the option to exchange OG bots for new ones is a BONUS, and it will not be the main option to get a new bot! More info will be announced very soon!)
5. Allocate a special marketing budget to promote the Classic collection in the broader crypto community.
6. Give the holders of the Classic collection special bonuses during the presale of the new collection.
7. Give the NFT holders the ownership and commercial usage rights over the Classic Cryptobots collection.
8. Develop the Classic Cryptobots community to support the existing active members and proposals.

Why we admire the Classic collection:
