Finally, after a lot of work we finally released the new game with a couple of extra features.
First of all, let me show you where we decided to travel as a team to code for a few days……
Again, as in December 2017 when the idea was born, we returned to the origins. So let's move to the game basics as there are some features to explain
1. How to play?
There will be a new tournament each week. The game consists in predicting 13 matches (mix from different European leagues). The player needs to choose which team wins the match (or draw).
Let's have a look to the 1st set of matches….
The perfect token (13 correct picks) wins the pot. Finally, only 13 correct picks takes the pot. At the beginning there will not be prize for the others but only for 13 correct picks.
2. How big is the pot?
Here's a new feature we launched. Usually, the pot is the accumulation from players fees. However, we are trying something different. We open the "investors" tab.
The pot will be different every week. Everybody may become an "investor" by staking ETH in the pot.
If nobody wins the big prize (13 correct picks) the "investors" will take a % of the earnings from the ticket sale.
i.e:
10 people invest 1 ETH each.
Beginning pot: 10 ETH
Tokens sold: 2 ETH
3% of the tokens sold is taken by Cryptocup = 0.06 ETH
“Investor” reward = 0.194 ETH
If nobody wins, each “investor” gets 1 ETH + 0.194 ETH = 1.194 ETH
In case “investors” stake different amounts, each will take a profit depending on the % of the pot it represents.
3. How much is the ticket to play? Any extra update?
Each ticket will cost 10DAI (payable in ETH as well).
Each "investor" must stake the ETH for only one week, which is the tournament length.
The stake will be converted into DAI for a stable prize pool.
When the "investor" claims the money back (if there is no winner), he/she will receive DAI back to the original wallet.
There are not minimum or maximum amounts to stake.
In the near future, each stake will be a ERC721 as well, giving you the chance as investor to sell/buy your position.
4. Private Leagues
Finally, we opened private leagues as well! Let's point out the features
- There must be a creator for each private league who will set up the name of the league + the entry fee.
- The creator must pay the gas + the fee (he set it up) to create the league.
- As a creator you can invite your friends to join. Each friend pays the fee to participate.
- The pot of the league is the accumulation of the entry fees. Cryptocup does not take any fee from it.
- Each private league lasts 4 weeks.
- The private league is additional to the main game. It means that besides paying the fee for the private league each player must buy at least one ticket per week. The members of the league will be participating in the main game as well.
- Leagues are a bit different to the main game. As it lasts 4 weeks, each member earns points with each prediction. At the end of the last tournament (week 4), the member with more points gets the pot.
- In case a member buys multiple tickets for the same week, the best performant (the one with more points) will be counted for the private leagues the member is playing
