Interview with CM Discord server zkSync — bxpana (Part 1)
ZkSync is a cool project, it’s a ZK rollup, a trust-free protocol that uses cryptographic proof-of-confidence to provide scalable and inexpensive transactions on Ethereum.
I think everyone would like to personally talk to Community Manager Discord server zkSync, learn more about them, get some advice and ask their questions.
I did a short interview with Community Manager Discord server bxpana to learn more about it and hear the answers to questions from a Matter Labs team member.
Let’s get started, our interview will consist of 9 questions:
1. How did you find out about zkSync?
I honestly can’t remember, but I think it was from a cryptocurrency jobs board.
2. If not for the cryptocurrency industry, what would you be doing now?
That’s a great question, I’m not sure.
3. What advice would you have given yourself a year ago?
Start learning Solidity and deploying contracts.
4. Did you have any experience with other projects?
Just as being a user and community member.
5. What were your emotions when you became part of Matter Labs? How did this happen?
I was extremely excited to be a part of a team that was Ethereum aligned and working on cutting edge technology.
6. What do you value most in the members of the zkSync community?
I value that they are mission and valued aligned like we are on the team. They also are not afraid to take ownership and start things that benefit the community.
7. What advice would you give to community members who want a zkStar role?
If you don’t get the zkStar, it’s always a future possibility. Don’t forget to enjoy your time in the community and have fun!
8. Can a regular community member become part of the Matter Labs team?
Sure thing! I was part of the community for a bit before getting the community manager role and we have others on our team who came from the community. We always welcome members from the community to join the team!
9. What do you think about the future of the cryptocurrency industry?
I think the future is bright! zkSync 2.0 and Hyperchains will really change the crypto experience. We are going to see new things that we haven’t seen before and that gets me excited.
It was a fascinating experience, I was excited to interview bxpana, learn more about him, ask him some questions and get some tips for reaching new heights.
