Qchain, a U.S.-based decentralized marketing and advertising company, has announced a partnership with Cryptogene, a Nigeria-based startup that educates its community about blockchain technology.

Furthering a Cross-Border Blockchain Ecosystem

Qchain began with the idea of using blockchain technology to make marketing and advertising tools more accommodating for the needs of small businesses and content publishers. Meanwhile, Cryptogene began in Nigeria as a venture to provide education and support to local individuals and entrepreneurs looking to learn more about cryptocurrency and its underlying technology. Both companies now seek to expand their efforts to an international scale.

“Qchain provides a unique launching pad for that,” said Bashir Aminu, the founder and CEO of Cryptogene. “We expect the hallmarks of peer-to-peer decentralized platforms and the blockchain technology to be further harnessed by both parties to provide critical blockchain solutions for the continent.”

Likewise, Qchain is interested in international expansion and holistic growth. While the company is incorporated in the United States, it is by no means insular. Part of a larger interest in cross-border growth, Qchain aims to tune U.S. investors and blockchain enthusiasts into Cryptogene’s potential as a transformative force in African economies.

Mutual Progress

Beyond the shared goal of enriching the global development of blockchain technology, the partnership between Qchain and Cryptogene supports the improvement of both companies’ technologies.

Nigeria’s technology sector is one that is rapidly expanding. The burgeoning population and growing base of internet users means that the potential for valuable digital services is high. “One of Qchain’s long-term goals is to build a base of African customers,” said Wally Xie, the company’s CEO. “As globalization continues its unstoppable march, people overlook the rapid development of Nigeria and other nations on the African continent at the cost of missed business opportunities. After I met Bashir Aminu online, I quickly realized that he had something special and prescient in Cryptogene and was building something remarkable.”

In a similar token, Cryptogene sees Qchain as an opportunity to bring specific blockchain solutions to Africa. “We would love to see flexible and efficient transactions between advertisers and publishers within Africa as well as the world at large” Aminu said.

The two companies will continue to develop with the mutual goal of removing barriers of entry to using blockchain technology in people’s daily lives.
