I do over pay, but just one payment a year.

I overpay by rounding up the dollar amount I wish to pay off each month to the nearest $500. If I were paying the minimum, I’d be paying off a little over $300 each month (and obviously the principal payment goes down a little each month), but as it is I am paying down the principal by exactly $500 each month. Not sure how much in extra payments it’ll come out to at the end of the month, but it is vaguely, deeply satisfying to have the outstanding balance look so neat and pretty in Mint…
