I worked at a news radio station in the ’90s, and the bonus system worked like this: everyone in the office got $400. Except one person would get $3,000 (“The Big Bonus”), and one person would get $0 (“The Shaft”). Man, that was a crazy place to work. So many cunning plans and crazy capers! It was never the same after Bill died, though.
