The Benefits of Whitelisting

Back in February, we had two exciting product updates to share.

On top of introducing new tokens as funding options, we also introduced our new Whitelisting functionality. This was developed to improve user experience by making it easier and safer for

users to transfer funds from one wallet address to another.

So, what is Whitelisting?

Whitelisting is a security feature that allows you to add and store trusted crypto addresses to a designated list. Think of it like an address book or a saved contacts list, that allows you to add or remove multiple crypto addresses whenever you want, and send funds to any of your saved addresses.

What are the benefits?

Adding wallet addresses to your Whitelist is beneficial for two main reasons.

First, Whitelisting is convenient

Crypto wallet addresses are VERY long and are made up of a random sequence of different characters. The glaring issue with this is that when sending funds to another address, you have to make sure you get every single character correct. If you type even one character wrong, you risk losing your funds altogether.

Just the idea of that is stressful. Also, no one wants to deal with the hassle of having to manually type in an address every time you want to send funds — especially when it’s an address you use more than once.

Fortunately, with the CL Platform, you can easily copy and paste wallet addresses that you wish to send funds. On top of that, our Whitelisting feature cuts out the complications by letting save chosen wallet addresses to your list. You can also name your saved addresses, making it easier to determine which wallet you want to send funds to.

So, the next time you want to transfer your funds to a specific address, they’ll be ready to use right away — saving you both time and hassle!

Whitelisting is also super secure

Aside from ensuring that you’re sending funds to the correct address, our Whitelisting feature also requires Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and a Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) to add or remove any addresses from your Whitelist.

You will be sent an authentication code to your email and 2FA to confirm this action, as well as a TOTP. This provides you with an extra layer of security and further prevents any unauthorised activity from your account.
