Alex Sicart: “Why I joined CryptoSolarTech: to solve Bitcoin’s energy consumption problem.”
It’s a pleasure to introduce the young and talented Alex Sicart Ramos, who has recently joined the advisory board as “Disruptive Technology Advisor”. In the following lines you can read an extract from his Medium channel about his short but intense background and vision about CrytoSolarTech’s promising future.
“Two weeks ago, the American financial and business news website, Business Insider, unveiled this article.
There was announced my inclusion as a consultant on disruptive technology at Spain’s biggest solar farm, CryptoSolarTech.
It’s an honor to participate in this project, I believe that blockchain and energy are going to play a very important role in the future of our lives.
This believe took me two years ago to create Sharge with Elsa & David.
Sharge was a new and innovative way to share power. Our platform consisted of an app where providers can share their charging stations and the users, can book these charging stations from providers.
To make all these transactions between users and providers we use Blockchain Technology, to create a pure peer-to-peer charging experience with:
- Transparent and safe payment process.
- Autonomous payments.
- Blockchain negotiates the best price, so is not to exceed the price of shared costs.
But on the way back from Silicon Valley (California), with the project already validated among users, it hit the wall of Spanish legislation: “I wanted to focus on the product, but we did not stop talking to lawyers”. He mentions obstacles, such as the impossibility of reselling energy and extreme cases of liability for accidents. In my words: “I’ve noticed that nobody here is prepared for the sharing economy. Call me in 10 years, when everything is regulated. “
For these reasons, Sharge stopped operating, but with all the knowledge acquired in Sharge I can contribute help this amazing project.”
Cryptosolartech is a DAO that will invest in green photovoltaic energy and cryptocurrency mining to allow its users to rent their Asics based on the possession of the tokens. More info about CryptoSolarTech:
