5. Select Protected Staking or MEV Staking.
This is your one big decision now. Click on Protected Staking or MEV Staking to stake your ETH in your wallet. You can come back and chose both options with two transactions, but for now we suggest to start with one and then consider staking with both as a second add-on.
How to select between Protected Staking and MEV Staking?
- 🛡️ Protected Staking earns 33% more than the Ethereum network rate in dETH rewards
- 🤖 MEV Staking earns 50% of MEV & tips, paid in ETH. Potentially higher rewards, with lower guaranteed rewards.
Protected Staking is the most popular due to the higher guaranteed returns. MEV Staking has at times paid higher rewards, (such as in June 2023) than Protected Staking.
6. Enter the ETH to stake and Press Confirm to start the transaction.
Enter any amount of Ethereum (ETH) that you would like to stake.
Starting with at least 0.01 ETH is suggested due to the average transaction cost.
Protected Staking is shown below in the following example with 0.1 ETH.
6. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. DON’T forget this step!
Confirm the transaction in your wallet with the suggested gas fees from your wallet.
If you are advanced, you can edit the gas fees, to try and save money. Editing gas fees is not suggested without the knowledge of how to adjust the nonce.
7. Celebrate with a confirmed transaction.
If you see this screen, you have successfully staked your ETH, congratulations!
Now you can relax knowing that you ETH is earning interest for you through a professional decentralized Ethereum validator community.
8. How do I manage / review my staking position?
You can see your staking rewards on the Blockswap LSD.joinstakehouse website.
Connect your Wallet and then on the “Manage” tab you should see a screen like one of these two options below:
- Protected Staking Example
- MEV Staking Example
