Writing for money vs passion
How I plan to do both and keep my love for writing while making money off of it
When you write for money the way you write changes. Instead of writing the way you like and about what you like to write about you write for the audience. This is great if you want to make money as the audience is what brings in money, but this isn't so great for fueling your love of writing. That's why you need a way to do both, and that's exactly what I am going to show you in this article.
Write for passion
The way to write for passion is by creating a blog or a site where you can post content. The rule for the content that will be posted on this site is, you can only write about what you want to write about, nothing else. By doing this you give yourself an outlet to express your love for writing. But of course, since you are writing for yourself it will be harder to earn money so that's why you also need to
Write for money
To make good money from writing you have to write about what readers want or what a customer wants. What I mean by this is you either start a separate blog where you blog about things destined to do well, you stay up to date with trends and purely write for the entertainment of others, or you become a freelancer and write for customers. If you choose to freelance you will need to find a way to gain attraction and jobs, you could do this by running ads, or creating a gig on Fiverr and hiring a promoter, or by cold emailing/messaging businesses that look like they could use help with some form of writing
Conclusion
I can't guarantee that you will make money writing, but what I do know is that when you do what you love, the money follows, so don't be afraid to make money doing what you love
