I lost my mom to cancer when I was 35; she was 55. The death of a parent is traumatic, and it changes us. My mom’s passing caused me to consider for the first time that maybe I wouldn’t be able to continue in HR. Betty Sue can’t get along with Mary Jane? I don’t give a shit. Leave me alone.

Best of luck to you and your wife as you continue to adjust to life minus your mom. Mexico sounds divine!
